| Captain It was evident from the moment I entertained playing matchmaker that it would take more than an impressive "resume" to woo...Windy. Captain quickly moved to the forefront when searching for a suitor for Windy After meeting and having the honor of spending time with Captain, it was virtually a no-brainer. His power, brawn, heart, and passion 'commands' your attention. A product of decades of strong field producers, Captain actually first caught my eye in the show ring, taking Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes at the Miami Valley Vizsla Club Specialty where Windy had taken Best In Sweepstakes the year prior. As I spent more and more time at field trials I soon realized what set Captain apart from the other dogs, and in my mind, sealed the engagement for Windy. Captain boasts the special title of being the first owner trained and handled gun dog for the Allen family. While the Allen's have successful experience training and handling, Captain is the first "prodigy" of exclusive owner training. A true product of learning how to 'read' your dog, Captain held together through the learning curve bumps and bruises, and today takes the call of duty at the line as nothing more than an opportunity to show off...the team! Packed with inherent talent, biddable temperament, style, drive and desire, Captain is just retrieving points away from being awarded yet another title and becoming a FOURTH generation Dual Champion All titles, awards, accomplishments aside...what confirmed I made the best choice for Windy was getting to spend two weeks with him as a houseguest and seeing that outside of a dynamic field dog, Captain is first and foremost a wonderful family member.
