Introducing DC AFC Red River's Southern Harmony JH VC!!! New Year's Eve!!:Potter comes straight off the couch and sneaks in under the 2011 wire winning the Amateur Gundog stake for 2 points at the GSP of Middle Tennessee Fall Walking trial, knocking out that elusive single to finish her Amateur Field Championship title and add a few more initials to the front of her name. Potter finishes her FC and AFC with 3 months of each other and only 21 months start to finish! Thank you to all the judges who have recognized her talent and given two girls the ride of their life! A bittersweet moment for me as judge, Jim DeMarco awarded Potter with her first 2 AFC points and also with the final 2. Thank you to Art, for handling Potter to the final win, while I got to saddle up and scout my little Poo-girl!!
Minni ends the year in the ribbons as well, taking FOURTH in both Amateur and Open Puppy!!!
November Kentuckiana Pointing Breeds Association Fall Trial (November 19-20): Minni brings home another ribbon for the fridge, earning 4th in a very nice Open Puppy stake. Auntie-Potter earns 3rd in the Amateur Limited stake among some very nice, polished dogs!!

October 7th:Minni takes home the sole ribbon for the Red River crew this weekend (and this month), taking RED in Amateur Puppy at the East Tennessee Pointing Dog Club's inaugural field trial!

Potter wins a FIVE POINT Open Gundog Retrieving stake to complete her Field Champion title and her Dual Championship!!! A very enthusiastic 'thank y'all' to judges Theresa Gimbut & Guy Rezzardi! Potter becomes Thyme's first DC and the first for Red River Vizslas out of my very first litter!! Thank you Potter for letting me come along and play your game, to ride behind you on a horse or walk in your shadow, and fire my gun!
Minni also runs her first field trial and takes THIRD in Amateur Puppy at 7 months!!

August 27th:Windy takes a weekend off field training and travels to Atlanta to show off her hot bod to a crowd of Southern onlookers as she and Sarah 'work it' earning Best of Opposite and their THIRD, 5-point Grand Champion Major!!

Supported Entry (Sunday):Riggs makes it a clean sweep of winning the Open Dog class and is awarded Reserve Winners Dog (to a major) on his 2nd weekend in the ring!!
Supported Entry (Saturday):Riggs wins the Open Dog class under breeder/judge Carol Sommerfelt, Lorac Vizslas. Just a little more practice for this boy!!
Specialty (Friday):Windy is awarded Best of Opposite Sex from the Hunting Bitch class & a 5-POINT Grand Champion Major under breeder/judge, Diane Schearer, Legacy Vizslas! Thank you Sarah Congleton for handling Windy with such style while I was nail-biting behind my truck (which I thought would have ended when callback season were over)!
Riggs wins the Open Dog class & gets a nice compliment from the judge!
June 5th: Hard work and perseverance is the key here! Keller takes Winners Bitch for her first point and 1/2 brother, Riggs earns his second Best of Winners and another single!
June 4th: From checkcords to show leads a little 'hat changing' this weekend! Thyme's KREWE boy, Riggs makes his ring debut and earns Best of Winners for his first show point!

Vizsla Club of Michigan Spring Walking Trial May 29th & 30th
Potter closes out the Spring season in a patriotic way! Back from a 3-week hiatus, she's back with a vengeance & celebrates Memorial Day weekend by earning RED in Amateur Limited Gundog, WHITE in Open Gundog (Retrieving), handled by Art and BLUE in Open Limited Gundog, handled by Art. They banked a 3-POINT MAJOR with this win, bringing up the other side of the field trial game tally to 7 FC points!! What an incredible end to a VERY fun season. Surrounded by friends & 'family' this was a great weekend of fun!!

Vizsla Club of Greater Cleveland Spring Horseback Trial April 16th & 17th
SO CLOSE!! Getting back on her game, still being handled off horseback, Potter takes SECOND in the Amateur Gundog (Retrieving) stake!
April 9th:Not an A-game weekend for Potter, but nevertheless, I am proud of her performance and handling bigger grounds, and her handler on horseback. She takes 4th in Amateur Gundog at the Gordon Setter Club of America Spring trial.
April 2nd: No April fool's joke here, we've got a new Champion!! Introducing Champion Red River's Pie In The Sky! Butters earns her final show point to complete her title. I can't be sure, but I think there is ice cream in the future for our little 'scotch Pie!! Congratulations Deanna on your first Champion! I am so very proud of you two!

Vizsla Club of America 2011 National Gundog Championship March 19th through 21st
Potter goes 2 for 2, earning her second CONSECUTIVE Award of Merit!! This year, it was the GIRLS turn as I got to be the 'birdworker' for Potter. What an honor to be recognized among several other Breeder/Owner/Handlers who were also among the ribbons this year!! A very special thank you to judges Charles Parietti & John Schoonover for acknowledging the "girls just wanna have fun" brace!! As always, a heartfelt thank you to my scout(s) Art Terstage & my pinch hitter, Diane Fazio! You guys are awesome!!
March 12th & 13th: Kentuckiana Pointing Breeds Association Spring Field Trial:Potter's back in BLUE!! Earning her second 3 Point Amateur Major, this time Retrieving! A gracious 'thanks' to judges Denny Keeton & Jesse Chapman, this brings Potter up to 9 AFC points and takes care of all retrieving points for her FC & AFC!! Potter also earned SECOND place in a very competitive Open Limited stake under judges Brian Wagner & Rodney Albin!!
On the show front, Lyric gets points too, taking Best of Winners both days inching closer to his Championship with 2 more singles!!

February 26th & 27th:GSP Club of Middle Tennessee Spring Field Trial: Potter is back to colder (and wetter) weather this weekend and while it takes her a bit to warm up, she is in the ribbons again in 'major' stakes earning FOURTH place in Open Gundog (Retrieving). She kicks it up a couple notches for a SECOND place in Amateur Gundog (Retrieving) adding another retrieving point and moving her over the halfway hump to the AFC!!
South Louisiana Vizsla Club Spring Field Trial February 4th through 6th
Potter goes down to the bayou for a test run and to blow the snow off her huntin' wheels. After a very challenging retrieve-on-course situation, Potter fails to bust under pressure and begins her ribbon-fest by earning THIRD in Open Limited Gundog. Her first placement of 2011! In the callback retrieving stake she again shows off her 'treevin skills and takes another THIRD in Amateur Limited Gundog. On her final run of the weekend, Potter lets it rip...in a good way and comes back to the 'blue'grass with a little BLUE of her own. She takes FIRST in Amateur Gundog for a 3 POINT MAJOR, bringing her to the 1/2 way point in her Amateur Field Championship title and 4 points into her Open Field Championship title!!

January 26th: Our first brag of the year is a birthday brag! Today we welcome, Minni, into the world. Windy & Captain celebrate the birth of their daughter! Staying in the 'family', we plan to enjoy many venues with this very special girl! Happy Birthday to the sole member of the Minni-Me, Myself, & I Litter!!
