October 24th & 25th:  The Krewe boys head back to the field for a party!  Riggs & Gatsby run in the KPBA & WCGL "double bubble" hunt test.  Riggs
earns two more legs towards his JH and
Gatsby stands on all fours, earning his final leg.  Introducing Red River's Jukebox Hero JH!!!


October 10th:  Celebrating her 4-month birthday by taking on a new adventure, Georgia embarks on a jaunt around the show ring for the first time with
some tough 'relative' puppy competition and earns a
Best of Breed at the Louisville Kennel Club Match.   


                                                                                                  
 ~September~

September 27th:  Needing a small 'change of venue' warm-up, Windy reclaims the ring after a 4 & 1/2 month trip to bird dog camp and is recognized for
her svelte "athletic" build taking
Best of Breed in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  A gracious 'thank-you' to judge Marjorie Martorella for recognizing again, that
Windy's form...meets function!

September 26th:  Whoa-Whoa....Listen to the music!  While still trying to get back in shape Potter throws down a clean run with 2 lovely finds and a very
stylish back in 34 dog stake in Wisconsin.  Although fierce with determination, she is left out of the ribbon-dance.....for now!  The jam on the East coast was
by none other than music master,
Lyric, who earned a NAVHDA Natural Ability Prize 1....trained and handled by his owner, Amanda.  What sweet sound
to our ears!


                                                                                                      ~August~

August 9th:  Bela is a stand up guy and does it again, earning his second Rally Novice leg and is nudged out of a placement by a single point.

August 8th:  The only Vizsla representation at the Greater Louisville Training Club's Obedience/Rally trial, Bela walks away with his first Rally Novice leg in
a class of 20 competitors.

August 1st:  "Hot fun in the summertime", team Lyric & Amanda earn their first Field leg towards the Versatility Certificate just one day shy of Lyric's
11 month birthday!!

June 14th:  Pretty is as pretty does, Lyric & Amanda earn their first two Conformation legs towards the Versatility Certificate at the CVVC Versatility test.
                                                                     
                                                                     ~Miami Valley Vizsla Club Specialty, June 12th~

After a year hiatus from the specialty ring, Bela and his talented Junior handler, Sarah Congleton, return and repeat history by taking Best Junior
Handler
.  Getting better with time, Bela & Sarah were 'in-step' and their teamwork could not be denied!!

Sarah also escorted Thyme as she made her second ring appearance since she finished her Championship.  It was an emotional moment watching two
young ladies...all grown up, elegantly gaiting their way to a
THIRD place award in the Veteran-ladies class!  Thank you Sarah for all of your hard work and
for being such an invaluable member of our family!


June 10th:  Red River Vizslas Second Generation....The Tag-a-longs have arrived!!  Potter delivers 5 gorgeous "brownie" girls and 3 handsome "cub"
boys!  Welcome to the world the
Brownies..Patty, Dosi, Samoa, Daisy, & Dulce...and the Cubs...Trefoil, Berry Munch, & Mintz!

June 1st:  Rage kicks off what proves to be an exciting month by claiming another Best of Winners under judge Judy Webb.

May 3st:   Kenai goes 2 for 2 taking Winners Dog again for his second day in the ring!

May 30th:  Kenai busts onto the show scene like he did on his birds, taking Winners Dog for his first show point at the Southern Indiana KC show.  Thank
you to Judge Mrs. Jean Austin for an exciting debut success!

May 29th:  Picking up where he left off, Rage returns to the Bayou to claim Best of Winners for 2 points under judge Houston Clark!

May 17th:  Rage makes it FOUR for FOUR and a clean sweeeeeep taking Winners Dog again in Mississippi!!  YAY Beth & Rage!

May 16th:  Unstoppable Rage claims another Winners Dog point in Biloxi at the KC of Greater New Orleans, whoooooweeee!!

May 15th:  Rage must be feelin' his cajun roots.  Add one more point to the bayou boy's record, he takes Winners Dog at the Northlake KC of Greater
Covington LA!

May 14th:  Rage is rollin'!!  He claims another purple, taking Winners Dog at the KC of Greater New Orleans...one thing about that boy...HE GARONTEES!

May 10th:  Lyric hits the field again after his show ring debut and earns 4th place in Amateur Walking Puppy at the Pointer Associates of New England's
spring field trial leaving his mom singing "da do run run run..da do run run"!!

May 9th:  Rage rocks the ring again and takes Winners Dog for 2 points at the Macon Kennel Club show..just PEACHY!


                                                                 ~April~

April 26th:  Lyric represents for the red dogs and despite a minor setback, recovers nicely and earns a well deserved THIRD PLACE in Amateur Walking
Puppy at the Hudson Valley GSP Club field trial in some stiff competition!  Now
that is music to our ears!


April 20th:  A deuxième représentation for Rage!  Another Best of Winners for 1 more point!!

April 19th:  "What's next?" is Lyric's motto!  Last weekend hunt test, this weekend..field trial, he brings his "music" everywhere he goes and we really like
the tune!  Lyric
WINS the Amateur Walking Puppy stake at the CVVC field trial earning his first AFC/FC point!  He and Amanda are also honored
recipients of the Saul Himmelfarb Travelling Trophy recognizing their work as Amateur owner/handlers!!

Rage also took Best of Winners for his first two show points down South at the D'Arbonne KC in Louisiana!!


April 12th:                                                                      ~Vizsla Club of Metro Atlanta Specialty~

Windy & her 'gal pal' Lauren put on the ritz today!  After working out the kinks, they step up and represent by earning an Award of Excellence from the
Field Trial Bitch class under judge Marjorie Martorella!!  This was the debut weekend for Lauren & Windy..way to go girls!!

April 11th:  Introducing Red River's Listen To The Music JH!  Lyric goes 4 for 4 like his KREWE-mate Kenai, and finished his JH in straight passes!  A big
congrats to Lyric's humama, Amanda, for finishing their first title together!  At just over 7 months, Lyric becomes the third KREWE boy to achieve his JH!


April 4th & 5th:                                  Apparently the KREWE boys think turning 7 months is a cause to celebrate so
                                              from Florida to Connecticut the KREWE boys threw a parade!
Rage earns his FINAL leg for his Junior Hunter in sunny Florida!!
In the Bluegrass:  
Kenai STARTS and FINISHES his Junior Hunter 4 for 4 at the KPBA/WCGL "double bubble" hunt test weekend!!

March 28th & 29th:  Back on the bird scene again, Rage is on fire in the field at the Tampa Bay Vizsla Club's season closer field trial.  He winds down the
month earning a
THIRD place ribbon in Amateur Puppy while he kicking it up a notch in Open Puppy to bring home the RED!  Congrats to Beth & Rage for
takin' names and kickin' bird butt!

March 22nd:  Amanda & Lyric's run in the field today is like a well orchestrated symphony and is performed with perfection earning their very FIRST JH leg
at the Irish Setter Club of New England's hunt test!!  Rehearsal is the key to a stellar performance and once Lyric hit the ground it was like music to the
ears!!  Way to go!!

March 21st:  Pretty birdy..or pretty AND birdy, take your pick!  Lyric debuts today with mom in tow and together they win the 3 to 9 month puppy class
at the CVVC Fun Day.  But the news doesn't stop there, see Lyric is handsome
& birdy.  He later takes to the field and shows everyone how a 6 month old
can stop to flush!  Maybe he could be sending a little advice to his half-sister, Potter.  
GO AMANDA & LYRIC!!!

March 14th:  Rage makes it 3 for 3 and high scores another qualifying leg towards his Junior Hunter at the Tampa Bay Vizsla Club hunt test.  Back in the
Bluegrass, half-sister
Windy kicks it up a notch and makes the cut in the Breed ring at the Evansville KC..among a sea of top ranked Vizslas, Windy shows
she can roll with the best!

March 8th:  Rage rules the field again, taking his SECOND leg towards his Junior Hunter title and making people shout out his name with
style...OUTRAGEOUS!!

March 7th:  Rage makes breaking news headlines for the KREWE boys by taking his FIRST Junior Hunter leg at the Panhandle GSP Hunt Test at the
tender age of 6 months and 5 days old!!!  The youngest in competition at the test, Rage showed them that age was nothing but a number and showed now
that he was of "legal hunting age"....y'all better watch out!!  Congrats Beth, Chet, & Greg...great work guys!!


                                                                                                    
~February~

February 23rd:  Potter has her first clean performance BREEDER/OWNER handled at the Kentuckiana Pointing Breeds Association's inaugural field trial
earning a
FOURTH place ribbon in a major entry Amateur Gun Dog stake.  With style, intensity, & honesty she handled her four finds like just another day in
the field, making the callback and the placement the added bonus to a very bright but cold day!  A huge 'thank you' to Jamie for trusting me to pilot this girl
a little on my own now and to all those who supported and cheered for us today!  It's truly an unforgettable day for me!

February 15th:  It's a trade off in the "best" ring as Sarah now takes BEST JUNIOR navigating the ring in Indy, just like a driver in the 500.  Team Congleton
learns it's not about how fast you go....it's about handling with style, calculating your moves, and expression that truly wins the race!

February 14th:  The Congleton's love of the dogs shows as they make a clean sweep in Juniors.  Sarah is awarded a FIRST PLACE win in Open Senior
and Tanner takes first in Open Intermediate and then the coveted BEST JUNIOR among a sea of dog loving, talented young adults.

To say we are proud would be a huge understatement!!  Tanner & Sarah make it to the last cut in Junior Showmanship
accompanied by Cane & Deuce before the finalists are announced!!  A huge accomplishment for this brother & sister
team, we are thrilled to be part of Team Congleton and look forward to sharing more successes with them this year!

February 6th:                                                          ~English Springer Spaniel Club of Long Island~  
                  All paws in the air!!  Sarah is honored again, escorting her ESS, Deuce, with another Best Junior award!!

February 5th:                                                          ~Big Apple Sporting Society Specialty~
                   Bela's co-owner, Sarah, takes to the ring with her stunning ESS partner, Deuce, and walks away with the
                                          coveted
BEST JUNIOR award heating up their Westminster tour!

                                                             ~January~

January 11th:  Potter & I make our de'poo' in Amateur Gundog.  She ran it down to the wire before finding a bird but the birdie must have said something
not nice to her and as it flew over her head before I could get to her...she flew with it!  Nervous in the saddle, but not as nervous as Jamie pacing the
parking lot, it was my first horseback handling stake as well as my first Gundog handling stake.

January 10th:  Potter & Jamie make it FOUR for FOUR!!  Four clean runs in four trials, this time with 3 finds and a nice honor.  Although the competition
was tough in the 34 entry OGD stake at the GSP club of Atlanta, Potter turned quite a few heads and raised a few brows as she is quickly turning into an
honest running dog!

Lyric takes 4th in 12 to 15 month Sweeps under Breeder/Judge, Patty Crowley (Shannon Vizslas)
Lyric goes on to take 3rd in the 12 to 18 month class under another Breeder/Judge, Carol Brown (Krown Vizslas).
Bela & Sarah earn 3rd place in Open Senior in Junior Showmanship showing off their stellar footwork!
Windy is called to the center and makes a cut in the Best of Breed arena.

                                                                   ~December~

December 5th:  Red River closes out the year back out in the field. Lyric gets back in the ribbons at the CT Valley Vizsla Club Fall field trial, earning an
Award of Merit in a 10 dog Amateur Derby stake!  I am so proud of the progress Lyric & Amanda have made this year in the field...way to go!!!!

I also had the opportunity embark on a new adventure involving no ribbons, competition, or placement....just good 'ol hunting with some of my dogs.

& Windy got to work pheasant and I SHOT MY FIRST BIRD over Windy!! It was such a wonderful weekend & an especially wonderful day, one that

~November~

November 28th:  Handsome is as handsome does!  Lyric earns his first show point today, owner handled to a BOW win at the Worcester County KC,
making Lyric now
DUAL POINTED!

November 22nd:  Potter proves she likes birds, can find birds, and is BROKE on birds at the GSP Club of Middle TN field trial.  While tracking deer,
mousing and taking in a little birdwork didn't pay off in OGD, she kicks it up a notch...or more and with TWELVE broke finds and a retrieve, earning a 3rd
place "bronze" ribbon in AGD!  DodecaPoo?  A special 'thank you' to Matt Rogers, Vanguard Vizslas, for scouting out Miss Poo!

November 15th:  Potter raises the bar and earns a couple more fans for her staunchness on birds and application on course.  In a 16 dog retrieving
stake, Potter claims
SECOND PLACE (to a major) in Open Gundog at the Kentuckiana Pointing Breeds Association Fall field trial.  Among a field of
outstanding competition, I had the honor of handling Potter to this placement and of being recognized as the only Amateur handler to be in the ribbons in
the stake.

November 8th:  Riggs makes history today for Red River Vizslas by completing his final leg of his Junior Hunter.  Earning this title, he falls in line with the
rest of the KREWE boys as the
ENTIRE litter now are Junior Hunters.  Congrats to owner/handlers Susan & John and of course, Red River's Guy Like Me
