~December~

December 31st:  Our final brag of 2008 comes on the Eve of the New Year.  Sometimes a brag isn't about a ribbon, or a point, or a title.  Sometimes a
brag is just about something that makes you proud!  Running against some top GSP competition,
Potter makes it around clean again at the Central
Georgia Pointing Dog Club trial in a 34 dog OGD stake.  While it didn't earn her a ribbon, it *did* give her a 3 for 3 clean streak, not bad for only 6
trials with a lot of 'seasoned' competition.  My sincerest of gratitude go to Jamie & his family.  The satisfaction in her continual performance
improvement was evident in his words when he called today to say "she ran better than she ever has".

Potter spent her NYE rockin' it out in the best way she could, runnin' down some birds!  Here's to continuing her 'streak' in 2009 and capturing
some well earned ribbons too!!

December 14th:
Kenai, Riggs, and Gatsby get their first romp in the field with the birds.  Half-sister Windy shows them how it's done, but it doesn't
take much before these boys are using their noses to locate, point, flush and relocate those pesky birds.

November 22:  It's all in the numbers for Potter!

1st time around clean as a (still green) broke dog
1st time making a callback
1st time to retrieve (after 3 setups)
1st Open Gundog Placement!!

Add 'em up gives Potter a
4th place in a 20 dog Open Gundog Retrieving stake at the GSP trial of Middle Tennessee in only her 4th stake as a
Gundog!!  Thanks Lefty for letting me go along for the ride and a HUGE heartfelt thanks to her handler/trainer/friend, Jamie Fountain and his
family for the support, training, care, & handling of Potter.  Thanks for all the support and cheers she received this weekend and the reminders to
me to "breathe" each time her retrieve was setup.
 YEAH POO!!

**JUNIOR NEWS**  Bela's buddies, Sarah & Tanner Congleton become 2 of the 5 Juniors showing Vizslas to qualify for WESTMINSTER!!
Tanner is also ranked #8 in Vizsla Juniors with just

~May~

May 26th:  Red River Vizslas would like to CONGRATULATE honorary family member, Tanner Congleton, for winning another BEST JUNIOR
award in Hamilton, Ohio, showing his new *red dog*, Cane!  Although Cane has a little longer hair, and a little more bone, we are thrilled at the
achievements of these two young men!  Despite Tanner's sharp handling skills in the Breed ring with
Windy, she decided to make a point today that
she is a MAMA's GIRL and showed that size does not matter when it comes to 'tude and no amount of hiding could fool a bird-dog nose as to where
her mama was hiding.

May 25th:  After a bird-dog hiatus,
Windy makes the weekend 'memorial' by winning her first BEST OF BREED as a special!!  An emphatic
"THANK YOU" to judge Robert Vandiver for once again finding this girl to be among the 'BEST' and to Sarah Congleton for handling her with
perfection in the Group ring.

May 9th:  SIX CANDLES FOR THYME!!!  Today she celebrates her 6th birthday in grand style!!  Click below to view a video collection of photos from
the first 6 years!

~April~

April 27th:  There were plenty of good things goin' on down South!  While Potter enjoys her days at bird-dog camp, Thyme's beau, Remy finishes
his
CDX in the great state of 'Bama.  We wrapped up our excursion with a true LowCountry Boil hosted with true Southern hospitality.  Gotta love
that 'Southern Harmony' y'all!!!!

April 13th:  Thyme's love,
Remy, wins BEST OF OPPOSITE at the Vizsla Club of Metro Atlanta's inaugural specialty show!!!  YEAH REMY and his
mom and handler, Beth!!

April 12th:
Butters & Windy prove that Red River Vizslas are VERSATILE!!  Windy Wins a Wittle White Wibbon taking FOURTH place in Open
Derby at the Vizsla Club of Greater Cleveland's field trial.  Despite her clumsy handler stepping out of her muck boots in the mudbowl wetlands, she
manages to prove not only is she pretty in the ring, but she's really pretty on point!  While in show ring in the Rockies,
Butters takes Reserve
Winners
to a FIVE point major!!  These girls know how to work it!!

April 6th:
Butters makes Top of the Mountain headlines taking Best Adult in Match at the Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club's B Match, defeating over
20 entrants!!  She was shown to perfection by her owner, Deanna and melting the heart of the judge proves there is "sweetness in the 'Scotch"!

~March~

March 13th:  The boys are simply the BEST!  Team Bela & Tanner debut in the Junior ring at the kick-off of the Louisville Cluster All Breed Shows.
In a dynamic entry of 14 talented kids, they not only WIN the Open Intermediate class, after performing every gaiting pattern known with
perfection, they rock it out to win
BEST JUNIOR, defeating over 45 entrants!!!  Tanner's sister & Bela's former Junior, Sarah also performs in
style with her ESS puppy, Deuce, staking a 4th place in a highly competitive class!
WAY TO GO KIDS!!!

~February~

February 23rd:  "..A fine example of the Vizsla breed..."  Words spoken as Windy walks off the field earning her final leg of her JUNIOR HUNTER,
& finishing her second title in less than a month!!  Not letting an ice storm and closed interstate ruin her fun, Windy shows the judges at the GSP
Club of Middle Tennessee she's a "10"!!!

February 3rd:  Introducing
CHAMPION Red River's Get Sirius!!  Windy scores a FIVE point major touchdown by taking Best of Winners, then
kicks a HUGE field goal going
